Rupert is one of the driving forces behind the Stayer race team a good friend and a super cool guy with some pretty decent skills on a bike. He wanted a Groadinger frame set for gravel and single track but also for riding on his local trails where he felt his hard tail mountain bike was sometimes a bit much but he still couldn’t help the odd jump or having fun on some technical stuff. Because of this he asked if we could make it with mega clearance for 650bx2.1” tyres and his 40t direct mount Boost chain ring, so we faffed around a bit and got the combo of parts and tyres he wanted to work and built this monster. It is pretty specific as you can see but dose everything he was after and shreds in the way that he wanted it too. Happy Rupert 🙂
Rupert went for the Appelblauwzeegroen Sunfade powder coat finish. The wheels are Stayer 650b Gravel on DT 350 with 12mm thru axle rear and 15mm thru axle front. headset is Chris King, tyres are WTB Nanos and the fork is Whisky CX No9 for post mount.
