We recognise that cycling has long been reserved for the privileged few, and that too little has been done to promote diversity and inclusion in the industry. Every day we see the ability for bikes to transform the lives of our customers and friends, and we believe that everyone should have this opportunity, regardless of race, creed, class, ability, gender, or sexuality.
Although we are small, we know we have a part to play in doing more to promote equality and diversity, both internally and externally. Internally, we are committed to ensuring diversity and equal opportunity in our hiring processes, and we strongly encourage applicants from underrepresented communities. Externally, we will try to better represent more diverse cycling communities in our imagery and marketing content. Where we can, we will work to provide active investment in the form of funding or sponsorship to initiatives specifically focussed on supporting BAME, LGBTQ+, female and non-binary cyclists.
As part of all of this, we have made the RAR Cycling Industry Pledge, which will hold us accountable to these claims, as well as provide resources to help us follow through on our commitment.
