This wheelset is built with DT350 Centerlock hubs as standard (as they are simply amazing) but we also offer some excellent HUBgrade options if a different hub set tickles your fancy! We build all of our wheels to order anyway.
Strengthened carbon fiber rims to handle off-road trails and built with the strongest spokes, the best brass nipples and of course the most reliable hubs out there. And by wheel builders who know about adventuring by bike!
Optimally to be used with fat tyres from 35 to 45c for comfort and traction on road, gravel and singletrack. These rims are asymmetric and reinforced for serious mixed-terrain, a hookless design for pinch-free riding at low tyre pressures.
and we like to know who (and what) we're building for as you might need a few more spokes, or a few less, or maybe you need brass nipples rather than alloy, or maybe you'd prefer silver spokes to black..!

Schmidt SON DELUX Dynamo Hub
The very best dynamo hub option out there. We have built up so many of these and not once have we encountered an issue. We have spoken to experienced bike tourers and mechanics about them as well , not once have we even heard about an issue! It's important because you cannot service a dynamo hub, they cannot even be tightened if there's play (an issue we have experienced with other brands) - if anything is up then the whole thing needs replacing. SO! Oh so worth it in every way.
DT SWISS LEVEL UPS !
So the 350s are amazing as they are, they genuinely are. But recently DT Swiss have further HUBgraded their lighter models - the 240 and the 180 making them even better, rather than predominantly 'just lighter'. Both now have the new Ratchet EXP Technology which has a higher ratchet count (=faster engagement), faster full engagement, wider spacing on the rear hub body bearings (= increased axle stiffness and bearing lifespan, which would be impressive as DT Swiss 350 are already the very best in that regard), even lighter yet, easier to disassemble and service .. and the finish looks ace.
